“My mother was laid to rest beside my father today at Arlington. They were surrounded by old friends and family, in a beautiful, simple ceremony with readings by Christopher and Joe…and a final singing of the Ave Maria by Matt Malone, the priest that served her communion so often these last five years. We were honored to have Cardinal Gregory and the Apostolic Nuncio Cardinal Pierre presiding over the Requiem. I give warmest thanks to the servicemen and women who helped to bring my mother to peace, finally, alongside her husband.”
