Stuff I found interesting
1.) CIA doc 3 of 40, From the documebnt entitled - MEMO FROM HONOR AND MERIT AWARDS BOARD TO CHIEF EAST ASIA DIVISION RE CAREER INTELLIGENCE MEDAL - MR. GEORGE E. JOANNIDES
In 1962 Mr. Joannides returned to the United States and took on his first non-Greek operational assignment as Deputy Chief of the Psychological Warfare Branch of Task Force W in Miami. Later in l963 he was moved up to be Chief of the Branch.
Nothing is mentioned about what he was really doing in 1963. Nothing about the DRE. Nothing about Oswald.

Considered for clearance for Special Intelligence on 31 May 1963.

5.) CIA doc 13 of 40, document entitled JOANNIDES, GEORGE E.
A covert security clearance was requested for Joannides on 12 Sept 1962, “to permit Subject's use as Staff Agent, GS-13, by DDP/TFW in the capacity of Operations Office at JMWAVE.” It was granted the next day 13 Sep 1962 by W. A. Osborne.

Might be why Morley wasn’t getting anything.

Transfered from Athens, Greece to Washington, D.C. 30 March 1963.

Still has redactions. It’s about the Kampiles espionage trial.

It has a redaction regarding his wife. Dated 22 April 1964.
Okay, this is confusing if you click on page 2 you should see 21 to 40, instead it lists 1-20 again.

Still has redactions mainly his Social Security # which is on Ancestry 067-18-0743.
11.) But look at CIA doc 6 of 20 and 7 of 20 and BOOM it’s right there. This is CIA doc 6 of 20. Yes, I see it’s dated 9 Feb 78.
And CIA doc 7 of 20. This is the exact same date as doc 4, 12 Jan 1979.

Joannides tries to get an American Express credit card in June of 1962.

Someone noticed that while applying for a Virginia drivers license under the alias of Howard Mark Gebler that Joannides already had a valid Virgina license under his real name, No. 5G8861. So, that could have bee embarrassing.
15.) Doc 15 of 20 - EMPLOYMENT VERIFICATION FOR JOANNIDES, GEORGE E.
So, American Express via Riggs National Bank is informed that yes Joannides is an employee of something somewhere and he’s paid $47,500 in 1962 dollars which is worth $505,615.48 today.
16.) Doc 18 of 20 - MEMO FOR SPECIAL AGENT IN CHARGE DISTRICT FIELD OFFICE - JOANNIDES, GEORGE E.
So, Joannides gets another driver’s license / permit this time for D.C in Jan 1963.
17.) Doc 20 of 20 - INVESTIGATIVE FILE MEMORANDUM RE JOANNIDES, GEORGE E.
Joannides returns stateside from an overseas assignment on 22 April 1962 and the routine repolygraph interview is waived.
